Madelaine presents her new single Run Come Baby, in collaboration with Jamaican veteran Linval Thompson. This sweet and spicy love song is developed over a modern rub a dub and is the latest preview of the new album by the Italian artist based in Jamaica.
Madelaine first met Linval Thompson at Rebel Salute, and their connection quickly blossomed into both a friendship and an artistic collaboration. After jamming together at Thompson’s house, they recorded the instrumental track at Tuff Gong Studios and the vocals at Taxi Records, Sly Dunbar’s studio.
Thompson requested that Madelaine sing a portion of the song in Spanish, as he had never had the chance to collaborate with an artist who could sing in that language.
Madelaine’s new album will be released on March 14, with a special live broadcast performance from Harry J Studio in Kingston the day before, available on her YouTube channel.
Run Come Baby is available on digital platforms, featuring a dub version by Jordan Armond (Natural High) and a music video filme0d in Jamaica.
